What is Remote Online Notarization?

Remote Online Notarization (RON) allows an eligible document to be notarized through an online audio-video session with a notary.

Do I need to travel to a notary?

For eligible RON transactions, no. You can complete the notarization remotely.

Can I use a paper document?

We offer limited in-person paper notarization within our local service area. If you are outside the local area, please contact us to determine whether your document can be accommodated through an available remote process.

How much does RON cost?

$25 per electronic notarial act/signature + $10 technology fee per session

How much does local paper notarization cost?

$15 per paper notarial act within 5 miles of 98074. For appointments 5–10 miles away, a $10 travel fee applies.
